1. Radius in mathematicsalwaysof it is designated letter R. The circle is the closed curve. Respectively, all points which are on this line are remote from the center on absolutely equal distance. And radius is that piece which connects the center of a circle to each of points, on it located. Consider that radius is considered the main parameter of this figure. Knowing its value, it is possible to learn easily and other sizes. Having determined length of this piece, you will know what in mathematics is called numerical value of radius.
2. There is a number of formulas by which it is possible to determine radius precisely. Consider also the fact that radius needs to be distinguished from diameter of a figure. If diameter of a circle, that is length of a straight line which connects two points which are most removed from each other is known to you, then to learn radius very easily. Use formula R = D/2 where D is diameter. And if you know circle length, then the formula will look so: R = L/2π. In this formula L – it is circle length, π - 3.14. This number is used to designate a certain irrational number.
3. If also length of a circle is unknown size, but at the same time you know values of length and also heights there is nobody a circle segment, then the following formula is suitable for calculation of radius: R = (h^2*4 + L^2) / 8*h. In this formula h – it is segment height (that is distance from the middle of a chord to a part of the arch acting most of all), and L is the length of a segment (it is not chord length).
4. Consider that "circle" and "circle" are different concepts. If the circle is a part of the plane, then the circle is a line which limits a circle. For finding of radius of a circle it is necessary to know value of the area of a circle. Such calculations should be carried out on a formula "R = (S/π)^1/2". In this equation of S is the area of a circle.
