Care for garden trees and bushes has to include preventive sprayings from diseases and wreckers. Such measure allows to avoid problems with harvesting.
Preventive spraying from wreckers
Apple-trees, blackcurrant and other fruit-trees, bushes are rather often struck by different wreckers. Some diseases lead to reduction of the sizes of fruits, their cracking and also bark damage, drying up of leaves and even death of tree. To prevent all possible troubles, it is necessary to make processing of garden special solutions and to do it on regular basis.
Processing of apple-trees
Apple-trees are considered as one of the most unpretentious fruit-trees. But young saplings quite often perish because of infection with fungal, bacterial diseases. For preservation of trees it is recommended to carry out preventive sprayings to the next periods:
- before swelling of kidneys (February-March);
- during swelling of kidneys (April);
- before blossoming;
- after blossom fading.
The first spraying is made when air temperature does not rise above +5 °C. Some wreckers winter in pristvolny circles, bark of trees, the soil. Irrigation by chemical medicines allows to liquidate insects in dozing state.
The second processing is carried out when kidneys have already bulked up, have started in growth, but were not dismissed yet. Too early holding procedure or delay for several days will lead to the fact that the necessary effect will not be reached. The nitrohair dryer, carbamide, copper vitriol will be suitable for spraying.
Before blossoming of apple-tree process the Bordeaux mix. It is necessary to make spraying when on tree pink buds appear. After apple-trees fade, they need to be processed from plant louse, ticks, sawflies, caterpillars of fir seed moth and listovertka. It is possible to use carbophos, petrolphosphate, chlorofosy. Further preventive sprayings should be made every 3 week. It is better to alternate medicines, but not to use all the time the same product.
Processing of blackcurrant
Processing of blackcurrant is carried out in several steps:
- before blooming of kidneys (it is necessary to make the Bordeaux mix or copper vitriol after removal of tops of branches at the emergence of grayish dense felt raid of mealy dew and kidneys injured by web flare);
- during active blossoming (currant is processed from the pincers and wreckers gnawing leaves. Medicines ""Aktellik" "or Fufanon are ideal for these purposes and also it is possible to use Akarin, ""Spark-bio"" and Fitoverm);
- after blossom fading (it is necessary to protect bushes from the mealy dew, anthracnose, septorioz sucking and the wreckers damaging leaves);
- during the autumn period (processing of insektofungitsidama, scrap of the damaged escapes, collecting and destruction of the fallen-down foliage is made).
After blossom fading of blackcurrant the spraying should be made most accurately. It is better not to use chemical medicines for these purposes if it is about prevention of diseases. It is possible to process fruit bushes the natural means which are frightening off wreckers:
- garlic infusion (the head of garlic needs to be crushed, filled in with 1 liter of boiled water and to insist in the dark place within week);
- citrus infusion (100 gr the crushed raw materials to fill in with glass of warm water and to insist 5 days);
- onions infusion (to fill in 1 kg of the onions crushed in gruel with 1 liter of water and to insist 3 days);
- soda solution (20 gr soda to dissolve in 5 liters of warm water).
Rules of carrying out processing
In order that spraying was effective and safe, it is necessary to follow number of rules:
- before work to check effective life of medicines;
- it is strict to observe the recommendations about dosages and ways of cultivation of chemicals specified in the instruction;
- to make processing in protective suit, gloves, special glasses and other personal protection equipment;
- not to process trees and bushes in garden more than 2 hours in a row;
- not to make processing at strong wind, rain and also in hot day.
During preventive spraying of children, pets in the territory of garden should not be. With care it is necessary to process new escapes of currant, young apple-trees. You should not splash on all branches at once. It is better to try solution on several escapes and to estimate result. If no external changes happen, it is possible to carry out full processing. At appearance of burns on bark it is necessary to replace medicine or to reduce concentration of solution.
